[Speaker Series] Crisis and Innovation in the Housing Economy

20 April 2015 (Mon)
Speaker(s): Susan Smith

Susan Smith is Mistress of Girton College, Cambridge University. Smith previously held the Ogilvie Chair of Geography at the University of Edinburgh from 1990–2004 and until 2009 was a professor of geography at Durham University. Smith’s research is about house prices, mortgage markets and the financial instruments associated with them. She works at the boundary between sociology and economics, so her starting point is to consult households about their experiences, beliefs and behaviours, and to join this up with quantitative data about housing and financial markets.’
